Heart Connection No. 2 is being powder coated this week. I can’t wait to see it painted … bright and shiny and candy coated red. Should be done tomorrow.
This piece will be my largest sculpture exhibiting in the sculpture garden of Desert Art Collection, in Palm Desert, CA. They will be featuring my work beginning on Nov 1st, as an introduction to the Palm Desert community during their monthly Art walk.
The timing of this exhibit coincides with the installation of my 8 ft. piece, Taking Flight, on El Paseo Avenue, in the the El Paseo Sculpture Invitational 2013-14. Taking Flight has been powder coated blue, and it is gorgeous!
I will have photos of the painted work soon, but for now I wanted to share the steel pieces. I thought you might like to see the raw steel before the finish is applied…Good things are happening!
